Milk Studios, for the third consecutive year, will host PHOTO17, the annual photography auction to benefit STORIES: The AIDS Monument. The event will be held Thursday, October 5th at Milk’s Hollywood location. Sharon Stone will once again serve as Event Honorary Chair. Since 2015, over $500,000 has been raised from the PHOTO events hosted by Milk Studios. The event, managed by an all-volunteer committee, has an expected attendance of 400 people and will include a preview cocktail reception with food provided by Love Catering and produced by Bryan Rabin, Inc. In a short two years, the PHOTO events for the Monument have become the premiere photo auction in Los Angeles for AIDS related causes.

For the 4th time, Los Angeles hosts Le Dîner en Blanc! On Saturday, October 14th, the annual elegant affair will gather at a secret location over 2,500 friends and friends of friends for another unforgettable evening of beauty and magic. To maintain the uniqueness of Le Dîner en Blanc as well as staying true to tradition, guests must observe certain requirements and follow a few key rules:

  • Once confirmed, each guest’s participation becomes mandatory, regardless of weather conditions.  This is a rain or shine event.
  • Dress code: elegant and white only. Originality is encouraged as long as it is stylish and tasteful.
  • Table setting: all white! Champagne and/or wine only. Beer and hard liquor are prohibited.
  • To ensure that the location secret is kept undisclosed until last minute, guests meet at assigned departure location and are escorted by a Dîner en Blanc volunteer.
  • As per Los Angeles alcohol laws, guests cannot bring their own alcohol. Guests wishing to enjoy wine or Champagne must reserve online through the Dîner en Blanc’s e-store. Guests are, however, welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages.
  • In order to leave the event location as clean as when they arrived, guests are required to leave with all their belongings, leftovers and litter.
  • Guests must bring a table, two white chairs, white tablecloth.A picnic basket comprising fine food and proper stemware and white dinnerware.A catered picnic basket option, which can be picked up on site, will be available for those who do not wish to pack their own. UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital will celebrate its 18th Annual Mattel Party on the Pier on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier. The event, which benefits UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, includes unlimited rides; carnival games stocked with prizes donated by Mattel; and a “Power of Play” area for activities and entertainment, sponsored by the Goldhirsh-Yellin Foundation, including custom cookie decoration provided by Ralphs/Food for Less. A VIP area hosted by the Toys “R” Us Foundation will feature lunch donated by Wolfgang Puck Catering.
