Lupus LA’s 2018 Orange Ball Raises Over $525,000 For People Affected By Lupus

Lupus LA celebrated their annual Orange Ball: A Modern Supper Club this evening at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. The event raised over $525,000 to support their mission to find the causes of and a cure for lupus, while providing support, services and hope to all people affected by the chronic autoimmune disease. Lupus LA honored President of Fox Searchlight Pictures Nancy Utley with their Daniel J. Wallace Founder’s Award. Dr. Marc Chevrier, Head of Lupus Strategy at Janssen Research and Development, received the Medical Visionary Award. Film critic Scott Mantz emceed the 500-person soirée. Guests included two-time Academy Award nominated and four-time Golden Globe winning actress Laura Dern, who presented longtime friend Utley with her award; Jim Gianopulos, CEO of Paramount Pictures and event co-chair; Peter Rice, CEO of Fox Networks Group; prolific producer and event chair Lauren Shuler Donner; actors Niles Fitch, Storm Reid, Scott Michael Campbell and Kristen Renton; Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and lupus advocate Robyn Lawley, and more.
