The restaurant’s appearance is a dichotomy of sorts – the exterior carries the semblance of modern glass and steel, yet the interior exudes a quaint, elegant countryside feel. Napa Valley Grille offers seasonal cuisine made with premium fresh produce from local and regional farms. The restaurant’s classic wine program highlights California’s finest vintners and growers.
The Zagat-acclaimed restaurant offers sophistication without ostentation. The customer service is superlative. Brunch, lunch, dinner, cocktails and (of course) wine are served here. Our recommendations for dinner are:
- Seasonal cocktails: the tart Dragon Martini crafted with Grey Goose Vodka, Domaine de Canton, lemongrass syrup, tarragon and lime. Try the Ginger Bourbon Lemonade concocted with Micther’s Bourbon and lemonade.
- Starters: Creamy Polenta cooked with Mahón cheese. Charred Marble Potatoes made with white truffle, crème fraîche and topped with chives.
- Entrees: Grilled Ancho-Crusted Albacore Tuna prepared with peppercress, pink peppercorn, lavosh and dill sauce. The 14 oz. Grilled Prime New York Strip charred with onion-thyme jam.
- Dessert: enjoy the decedent Sticky Toffee Date Cake with vanilla bean ice cream.
The myriad of wine underscores California produced wines, touting quality boutique wineries and international styled wines – we suggest Uber or Lyft should you choose to experience the extensive collection.
