Concern Foundation threw its 42nd Annual Block Party on June 9th at Paramount Studios. With a Field of Dreams theme, thousands of guests attended the event which featured a multitude of top food vendors, live musical perforances, salon services, photobooths, casino style games and an Infinity Lounge.
1.73 million was raised that night. Bid items included highly coveted tickets to the 2016 Emmy Awards and Governors Ball. The highest bid item was Adele concert tickets that sold at over $8,000.
Concern Foundation honored Dr. Peter and Rebecca Grossman as Humanitarians and Community Leaders. Former Beverly Hills Mayor and wife, Barry and Sue Brucker, received the inaugural Beth Hersh Goldsmith Conquer Cancer Now Heroes award. The award commemorates Beth Goldsmith, the former executive director of Concern Foundation, who passed away November 2015 from cancer. Since 2011, the Brucker family has donated $2.7 million to the foundation.
Concern Foundation was founded in 1968 with a mission to fight cancer by providing vital funds to support the early stages of discovery.
